This is an important item for all flat owners, buildings and malls. The fire extinguisher should be kept close to the door of the house, so that if any misfortune takes place you do not have to search for the extinguisher. The members of the family should know how to use the equipment. It should be examined monthly to make sure that it is functioning properly. The Government has made it compulsory for all malls, cinema halls, banks and buildings to maintain proper fire extinguishers.
3. Domestic Sprinklers
These are automatic water sprayers which are used initially when a fire is detected. This can help you to douse the fire immediately thus protecting your house from the fire to spread.
4. Keep contact number of the Fire Brigade
It is important to keep the contact number of your area’s Fire Brigade. If you detect fire in your building, then it should be reported immediately to the authorities. The Fire Brigade should be called without delay as they are meant to help the public in case a fire breaks.
